Over 80% of Year 11 leavers achieved at least one A* to C equivalent qualification with a third of pupils achieving an A*/A grade. Progress figures for English and maths have both risen and A-C passes in the majority of subjects have improved with History and Geography pass rates above those nationally.

Headteacher Matt Jennings said: “We are pleased that the hard work of staff and pupils has paid off, particular for our more able pupils.”

Amongst those achieving several A/A* grades were Chelsea Byrom (10), Jessica Eckersley (10), Jade Mistry (12) and Laura Vincent (12). In year 10, pupils excelled in their English Literature examinations with 60% gaining A – C passes including Bethany viagra buy usa Dyke and Anisha Begum who achieved A grades in English Literature and Statistics.

Copley Academy believes that all pupils should be given the opportunities to achieve their potential in those subjects and qualifications which best meet their needs.

There are three academies in Tameside under the Trust. The other two are New Charter Academy in Ashton (secondary) and Silver Springs Academy in Stalybridge (primary).
